Built on a Career Alongside Business Owners

I didn't take the most conventional path to business ownership — and I think that's exactly what makes me the right fit for it.

I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Spanish Literature, which might seem like an unusual starting point. But what it taught me was how to communicate, how to connect with people across cultures, and how to figure things out in unfamiliar territory. Those skills have defined my career ever since.

I spent nearly a decade at OpenTable, starting as a Field Operations Specialist — traveling across the country, installing systems in restaurants, training staff, and solving problems on the ground. I worked my way up through senior account management and team leadership to Director of Sales and Services, where I oversaw a multi-state territory covering Texas, Louisiana, and Tennessee. Along the way, I managed regional teams, turned around underperforming markets, consistently exceeded revenue targets, and earned multiple company awards, including Restaurant Relations Manager of the Year.

What mattered most during those years wasn't the titles or the numbers — it was the work I did directly with business owners. I sat across the table from hundreds of restaurant owners, learned what kept them up at night, and helped them use technology and data to run stronger operations. That experience gave me something no MBA could: a deep understanding of what it actually takes to operate a business day to day, and a genuine respect for the people who do it.

After OpenTable, I joined CoStar Group as an Account Executive, selling commercial real estate data and analytics to brokers, private equity firms, and enterprise clients in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. It sharpened my financial acumen and gave me direct exposure to the world of transactions, valuations, and deal structures.

In 2025, I stepped away from corporate life to pursue acquisition entrepreneurship full-time through Goodrich Monroe Ventures. I'm not dabbling in this between other commitments. This is what I do, and it's what I intend to do for the rest of my career.

I'm looking for the right business — one with a strong foundation, good people, and room to grow. And I'm looking for a seller who cares about what happens after they hand over the keys. If that sounds like you, I'd love to have a conversation.

What I'm Looking For

I'm actively seeking established businesses that are well-run, profitable, and positioned for long-term growth.

Business Size

SDE or EBITDA between $750K and $3M. I'm looking for businesses that are large enough to be professionally managed but small enough that the owner-operator relationship still matters.

Industries

Open to most industries and business types. My background spans technology, hospitality, commercial real estate, and construction. The exception is restaurants and most franchise models.

Geography

Primary focus is Dallas-Fort Worth and the state of Texas broadly. I also consider opportunities throughout Oklahoma, particularly the southern half of the state and the OKC and Tulsa markets.

For a truly exceptional business, I'm open to relocation.

What I Value

Consistent, verifiable financial performance. A solid team that doesn't depend entirely on the owner. Repeat customers or recurring revenue. Room to grow through operations, new markets, or adjacent services.

Online Businesses

I also evaluate online businesses including SaaS, e-commerce, content, and agency models with SDE of $300K or above. If you're brokering or selling a digital business that fits, I'd like to hear about it.

What You Can Expect From Me as a Buyer

Selling a business is one of the most significant decisions an owner will ever make. I understand that, and I take it seriously.

I'm an Operator, Not a Financial Engineer

I'm not buying a business to strip it down or flip it. I'm buying a business to run it. My career has been built on managing teams, growing revenue, and solving operational problems. That's what I intend to do as an owner — show up every day and make the business better.

I Protect What You Built

Your employees, your customers, your reputation in the community — these matter to me. I know that for many owners, the legacy of their business is just as important as the sale price. I'm committed to preserving and building on what you've created.

I Make Transitions Smooth

I've spent my career working closely with business owners through periods of change. I know how to manage change without disruption. I'll work with you through the transition period to make sure the business, your team, and your customers are set up for continued success.

I Move Quickly and Communicate Clearly

I'm a full-time buyer. When I express interest, I follow through. When I sign an NDA, I review the materials promptly. When I have questions, I ask them directly. Brokers and sellers deserve a buyer who respects their time.

Let's Start a Conversation

Whether you're a business owner considering a sale, a broker with a listing that fits my criteria, or a lender or advisor who works in the lower middle market — I'd welcome the chance to connect.

I respond to every serious inquiry, and I move quickly.
